These are pictures from el Valle de los Caidos (the Valley of the Fallen) that was built by the dictator Francisco Franco at the end of the civil war in 1939. The first is a view of the cross and basilica built on top and inside a mounain and the second is the view from the basilica.
Are you speaking any Spanish, yet? It looks as if you're learning the geography. How is your host family? Do you interact with them much? What about their house? Do you have your own room? bathroom? Is the course work difficult? How do you get around? It appears from the pictures you girls are staying healthy. That's good. Do they have water from Mexico you can't drink?
